SAN FRANCISCO –The Pac-12 Conference office announced today that Ella Eastin of Stanford was named Pac-12 Women’s Swimmer of the Week and UCLA’s Eloise Belanger was voted Pac-12 Women’s Diver of the Week.
WOMEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Ella Eastin, Sr., Stanford (Irvine, Calif.)
In a matchup of two unbeaten Pac-12 teams, Eastin lead No. 1 Stanford to a dual meet win at No. 6 California, 192-107, on Saturday. The senior closed out her final dual meet by setting a pool record in all three of her individual races. Earned her first pool record of the day with a finish of 1:52.13 in the 200-yard butterfly, which topped a 12-year-old mark held by Olympic medalist and Cardinal alumna Elaine Breeden. Finished the 200 backstroke in a time of 1:52.01 and capped the day with the fastest 200 individual medley in facility history at 1:53.86. The senior boasts a 3.74 grade-point average in human biology while leading Stanford to a perfect 30-0 record in dual meets during her career on The Farm.

WOMEN’S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Eloise Belanger, Sr., UCLA (Montreal, Quebec)
Belanger won a pair of events in UCLA’s final dual meet of the regular season against cross town rival USC on Friday. Her 3-meter springboard score of 346.80 points was over 45 points higher than the rest of the field and just shy of her season-best (348.38) set earlier this month. Topped the podium in the 1-meter with 314.40 points that came down to the final dive after being separated by less than a point from the second-place finisher. The reigning Pac-12 Diver of the Year is working toward a degree in economics.

The 2019 Pac-12 Women’s Swimming and Men’s and Women’s Diving Championships (Feb. 27–Mar. 2) will be held at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash.
