Olympic Trials Qualifier Chloe Isleta Commits to Arizona State

Arizona State_w_Isleta w CoachChloe Isleta of Morgan Hill, California will make Tempe, Arizona home for her collegiate career now that she has given her verbal commitment to Arizona State University. Isleta swims for Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics under coaches Tony Batis and Peter Davis, and for San Jose’s Presentation High School.

Isleta was runner-up in both the 200 IM (2:00.49) and 100 back (54.71) at California’s Central Coast Section championships in May; she then went on to place fourth and eighth in those respective events at the inaugural CIF State Championships.

Isleta is an Olympic Trials qualifier in both the 200 and 400 IMs. She is a 15-time Pacific Swimming LSC age group record-holder in freestyle, backstroke and IM events (her 500 free, and 100/200/400 IM records still stand) and a 5-time Philippine National and Junior National record holder in the 200/400 IMs and 100/200 backstrokes. Her best times over the last year include:

Isleta will be joined in the ASU class of 2020 by fellow commits Bentley Hulshof and Carly Kramer.
