HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University swimming and diving team fell to the Ohio Bobcats, 197-97, on Friday evening in the Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium. Mia McBride won the 100 backstroke.

“Being able to stand up and compete at home is always really special, especially for our freshman doing it for the first time tonight,” Herd swimming and diving head coach Ian Walsh said. “I thought we had some really good performances tonight from several individuals, but a lot of details we have the opportunity to clean up tomorrow morning against James Madison.”

“The women had great energy on deck and competed really hard for each other. Ohio is a strong and talented team and I thought we stood toe to toe with them tonight. We have a great opportunity to make some adjustments for tomorrow morning and come back with the same energy and tenacity as tonight.”
