Never mind, figured it’s out.

Basically the swimmer had represented Russia, but recently switched to France, and came fourth at the worlds.

I would maybe not call anyone from an Arab nation “the — Terror.” The Tunisian Titan was right there for ya!

I was finally able to fill out all the entire crossword. 19 down was tricky but I finally figured it out. Hint: It’s not a person.

Sweet, I successfully filled out the entire crossword! I definitely had to “cheat” and Google some stuff to fill everything out, especially with some of the names that are hard to spell.

Like everyone else here, I had a lot of trouble with 19 down. Hint: the answer is not a person.

Got most of them.

5 across I had no idea and had to look up. 17 down I knew the answer but had to look up the spelling. 19 down I’m certain I have right but it’s still red.

Who is 19 down?

I think it might be a reference to the medal tally debate but cate campbell and australia both don’t fit. I’m also unsure of 23 across because st peters, saint peters and saint peter all don’t fit and neither does matt richard’s clubs of droitwich or wolverhampton.

I understand the key but I have no idea what the word could be! And what a coincidence that medal tally fits perfectly with 2 other clues but is wrong haha

It’s not a tally it’s what you sit at in the kitchen or dining room.
