University of Cincinnati has added Ryan Peters of Tampa Bay Aquatics Countryside to their 2014 signing class. He is coached by Head Coach Susan Curnutte.
Ryan swims for Countryside High School. He was the Florida 4A State Champion in the 200 freestyle, with a winning time of 1:39.20. Plus, he was the state runner-up in the 100 backstroke in 49.30 (prelims) at their recent state championships.
Plus, he lead off their State Championships 200 freestyle relay in 20.82. Countryside’s 400 freestyle relay finished third, with Peters leading off again in a 45.51.
He will be joining one of his former teammates, DJ Waite, who is freshman at Cincinnati this season.
They also signed 4 other swimmers that will be major assets to the 2014-15 season. It’s great to see UC move up the ranks.
Congrats on Bearcats swimming! IIRC, this was a team that was on life support a couple of years ago. Great to see them getting swimmers of this caliber.
UC also added 4 other swimmers. Shelby Spitz, Nicholas LaFleur, Christopher Bready and Emily Gibson.
