DALLAS (SMU) – The Mustang men’s swimming and diving team welcomes TCU to the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium for its 2020-21 home opener Friday. Action will be split, as diving is set for 12 p.m. with swimming to follow at 6 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Mustangs opened the season at the two-day First Chance Invitational last weekend, competing against Texas and Texas A&M.
Colin Feehery posted the first NCAA B cut of the season for SMU, finishing fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke (54.20), and also posted top-5 finishes in the 200-yard breaststroke and 200- and 400-yard individual medley.
The Mustangs also picked up top-five finishes from Jack Easton (200 back) and Jack Callan (1650 free).
Mustang Diving
This will be the first action of the season for the Mustang divers.
SMU returns 2020 All-American and NCAA qualifier Peter Smithson (3 meter, platform) as well as NCAA Zone qualifiers Parker Hardigree and Dominic Hoefer.
Smithson was also named the AAC Diver of the Year as a freshman, after winning championships on 3 meter and platform, and he and Hardigree were All-AAC selections in all three events.
Making The Cut
Six returning swimmers posted times under the NCAA Division I B standard in their respective events during the 2019-20 season.

All-Conference Returners
SMU returns American Athletic Conference swimming champions Caleb Rhodenbaugh and Colin Feehery. Rhodenbaugh swept breaststroke events, while Feehery won the 400-yard individual medley. Daniel Forndal also had a standout performance at the Championships, earning all-conference honors in the 100-yard freestyle.

Scouting The Horned Frogs
TCU opened the 2020-21 season with a 183.50-113.50 loss at Missouri on Oct. 16, and is coming off a third-place finish at the 2020 Big 12 Championships.
The Mustangs won the 2019 match-up, 171-125, in Fort Worth, and have won the last four meetings with the Horned Frogs.
