The Monmouth College swim teams swept Millikin on Friday night in a home duel. The women won 104-60 and the men won 85-78.
WOMEN
Cally Tate (Monmouth, Illinois) won the 100 backstroke by four seconds with a time of 1:02.91 . She also won the 50 freestyle in 27.22 with Abbie Ames (Rhinelander, Wisconsin) taking third in 28.70 and Emily Davis (Beloit, Wisconsin) in fifth at 33.89.
Allie Warren (Galesburg, Illinois) won the 200 freestyle in 2:03.94 with Tate in second at 2:05.89. Warren also won the 200 yard IM in a time of 2;28.42, just ahead of Nicole Fitch (Marengo, Illinois) in 2:29.54. Warren also won the 100 breaststroke by five seconds with a time of 1:14.58. Ames was third in 1:25.94 and Smith was fourth in 1:30.14.
Addie Smith (Monmouth, Illinois) won the 500 freestyle with a PR of 5:50.43.
Caitlyn Stewart (Monmouth, Illinois) won the 1000 freestyle with a time of 12:09.28. She also won the 100 yard butterfly in 1′:06.83.
Fitch took second in the 100 freestyle in 1:00.08 with Isabel Lynch (Rock Island, Illinois) in third at 1:05.53 and Davis in fourth at 1:13.56.
The 200 yard medley relay team of Stewart, Warren, Fitch and Smith won with a time of 2″03.95
The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Smith, Lynch, Ames and Davis took second in 1:69.19.
MEN
Kody Coyne (Bluffton, Indiana) won the 200 IM 2:13.73. He also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.16 with Ethan Main (Oneida, Illinois) in third at 1:07.36.
Eli Wills (Blue Springs, Missouri) won the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 58.50 as Jaydon Wilbon (Crown Point, Indiana) took fourth in 1:09.84.
Tariq McLarty (South Holland, Illinois) won the 100 freestyle in 49.57.
Bucket Youvan (Rochester, Indiana) took second in the 50 freestyle in 22.93.
Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) got second in the 200 freestyle in 2:00.22.
Jordan Bridgford (Kapolei, Hawai’i) was second in the 100 backstroke in 1:02.55
Jaeden Peters (Greenfield, Indiana) took second in the 500 freestyle in 5:50.29.
The 200 yard medley relay team of Bridgford, Coyne, McLarty and Youvan won by two seconds with a time of 1:44.21
The Scots were also 1-2 in the 200 yard freestyle relay. The A-team of Youvan, Wills, Foster and McLarty won in 1:33.27 while the team of Bridgford, Wilbon, Main and Peters took second in 1:44.19.
The Scots finish the dual meet part of the schedule on Saturday with a 1 p.m. home meet against Illinois College. Saturday is Senior Day for Davis and Wilbon.

The Big Blue swim teams traveled to Monmouth, Ill. on Friday, January 24 for a dual meet with the Scots of Monmouth College. The Big Blue fell in the women’s contest 60-104 and were edged by the Scots 78-85 in the men’s races.
The 200 yard medley relay team of Dawsen Loafman, Ridge Batchelor, Gavin Dobson, and Msanaa Bosland posted a time of 1:46.22 to place second in the men’s race.
Aly Barnes was the victor in the women’s 200 yard freestyle race in a time of 2:03.94. Kendall Rossignol placed third. Aaron Amaya was first in the men’s race in a time of 1:58.35. Alexander Tabuchi placed third.
Erin Powell placed second in the women’s 50 yard freestyle in 28.06. Loafman was the winner of the men’s race in 22.89.
Barnes picked up another individual victory in the 100 yard freestyle race in 58.08. Bosland placed second in the men’s race in 52.83.
Powell was second in the 100 yard backstroke in a time of 1:06.8. Loafman picked up another individual victory in the men’s race in a time of 59.21.
Dobson won the men’s 500 yard freestyle in a time of 5:40.43.
Rossignol placed second in the women’s 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:19.14, and Amaya was second in the men’s race in 1:06.61.
The relay team of Barnes, Yoanna Barajas, Powell, and Grace Meacham won the 200 yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:51.18.
The Big Blue will have a quick turnaround when they head to Naperville, Ill. for the North Central Invite on Saturday, January 25.
