Club teammates Riley Molina and Adrianna Piccininni, who swim for Ron Aitken at Sandpipers of Nevada, have both committed to University of the Pacific next year.

Molina is a distance specialist from Las Vegas, Nevada. Representing Clark High School at the 2015 NIAA Division I-A Nevada High School Swimming & Diving State Championships, Molina placed third in the 200 IM and second in the 500 free. This past summer at the NCSA Summer Swimming Championships, Molina came in seventh in the 1500m free, ninth in the 400m IM, and 18th in the 200m back.

His best times are:

  SCY LCM
1650/1500 15:33.61 15:54.88
1000/800 9:16.00 8:31.80
500/400 4:31.59 4:09.60
200 free 1:43.46 1:59.98
400 IM 3:58.13 4:29.96
200 IM 1:57.62 2:16.41
200 back 1:51.90 2:06.88
200 fly 1:54.86

Molina will be an immediate contributor at the conference level for the Tigers. He would have scored sixth in the 1650 free at the 2015 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation conference championships. He also would have made the A final in the 400 IM and the B final in the 500 free and 200 back.

Adrianna Piccininni

Piccininni is a senior at Palo Verde High School in Las Vegas. At the NIAA Division I Nevada High School Swimming & Diving State Championships, she contributed to Palo Verde’s first-place team finish with a sixth in the 100 fly. Piccininni’s best events, however, are longer than anything contested at the high school level. Her best times are:

  SCY LCM
1650/1500 17:29.39 17:55.71
1000/800 10:28.93 9:16.33
500/400 5:06.19 4:33.70
400 IM 4:34.78 5:06.83
200 fly 2:10.22 2:23.08
100 fly 59.85 1:07.55

Piccininni would have been helpful to the Tigers in their quest to rise in the ranks at MPSF championships; her best 1650 time would have scored 14th, and her 500 free and 400 IM would have landed her in the C finals.

Molina and Piccininni will be reunited with Sandpipers teammate Isabella Green, who is currently a freshman at Pacific this year.
