Always on the lookout for new ways to incorporate social media into their swimming program, University of Michigan men’s swimming and diving is hosting a daylong series of Twitter Q&A sessions with notable current and former swimmer and coaches this Monday, February 17th. The event will include current Wolverine Connor Jaeger, head coach Mike Bottom, and former swimmers Tyler Clary, Peter Vanderkaay, Davis Tarwater and Charlie Houchin.
Each athlete/coach will have an scheduled time slot in which to answer questions – fans can tweet in their questions for the various Wolverines using their specific hashtags, listed on the tentative schedule below:
9-9:30 AM – 3-time Olympian Peter Vanderkaay – #AskPVK
10-10:30 AM – Olympic 800 free relay gold medalist Davis Tarwater – #AskDavis
11-11:30 AM – Head coach Mike Bottom – #AskBottom
12-12:30 PM – defending NCAA champ Connor Jaeger – #AskJaeger
2-2:30 PM – Olympic 800 free relay gold medalist Charlie Houchin – #AskHouchin
4:30-5 PM – Olympic 200 back gold medalist Tyler Clary – #AskClary

In addition, the swimming and diving program will give away prizes throughout the day, with items including tickets to the Big Ten Championships (which Michigan hosts Feb. 26-March 1), tickets to men’s basketball games, tickets to next fall’s football home opener, and various Michigan swimming and diving gear like swim caps and T-Shirts. Fans must follow @umichswimdive in order to be eligible for the giveaways.
