OXFORD, Ohio — The Kenyon College women’s swimming and diving team won four events Saturday and turned in more than a handful of season-best times, but it could not overcome the NCAA Division I Miami (OH) University RedHawks, who cruised to a 210-90 victory at Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center.
Kenyon’s top performer of the afternoon was junior Jennah Fadely, who swept the breaststroke events. In the 100-yard version, she posted a time of 1:01.13, which was the top time in the race and also her season-best. In the 200-yard version, Fadely turned in a winning time of 2:15.22, which was about five seconds better than her previous season-best time and checks in as the third-best time this season among all NCAA Division III swimmers.
Kenyon’s two other event wins came from first-years Bengisu Caymaz and Sofia Giordano. Caymaz got through the 500-yard freestyle with an impressive time of 4:50.39.
