OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University women’s swimming and diving team will travel to Columbus to compete in the Ohio State Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 13 and Sunday, Feb. 14 at the Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
Miami will compete against Ball State, Cleveland State, Eastern Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, Purdue and Wright State.
Prelims on Saturday will begin at 11 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m. On Sunday the prelims will start at 11 a.m. and finals at 4 p.m.
The RedHawks have won three Mid-American Conference Swimmers and Divers of the Week awards, with senior Sara Krueger earning two and junior Pei Lin earning hers two weeks ago. Lin is coming off a strong meet against Akron, winning the one-meter dive (330.00) and three-meter dive (375.45). The second place score in the three-meter dive was almost 100 points below Lin’s (287.85).
Junior Stephanie LeMire also competed well against the Zips, winning both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.11) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.18).
Fellow junior Logan Klinsky has won the 200-yard freestyle in her last three meets against Cincinnati (1:53.82), Bowling Green (1:54.12) and Akron (1:54.22).
The Ohio State Invitational will be the last meet until the MAC Championships, which are being held fromWednesday, Feb. 24 to Saturday, Feb. 27.
