Pasadena, California’s Lilly Helmuth-Malone will head up the coast to Santa Barbara in the fall, having committed to swim for the UCSB Gauchos.

In addition to being a fantastic and well-renowned research institution as part of the UC system, it also offers the perfect college town atmosphere that I was looking for and the opportunity for me to further my education and pursue my passions at the most beautiful campus. Plus, who doesn’t want the chance to study on the beach or spend every day in the sun?!?!”
Helmuth-Malone is a senior at Mayfield Senior School. At the recent CIF-SS Division III Championships, she placed eighth in the 50 free (25.03) and 11th in the 100 free (54.78). Helmuth-Malone trains with Coach Michael Jafari at MAX Aquatics; her top times over the last two seasons include:
