Hamilton, NY — The Loyola Greyhounds swimming and diving teams traveled to face off against Colgate. Both teams had strong showings, as they both added a conference win.
The men’s 200 mixed medley relay of Tyler Knurek, Paige Simko, Michela Schultz and Max Verheyen set a new school record with a time of 1:40.73.
Another school record was earned in the 200 mixed free relay, with the grouping of Patrick Hayburn, Tyler Knurek, Lily Mead, and Michela Schultz with a time of 1:30.98.
Jack Still also set a new school record in the 3 meter dive with a score of 307.95.

HAMILTON – Colgate swimming and diving drop first dual meet of the season to the Loyola Greyhounds.
The Raiders tallied six first-place finishes in today’s dual meet.
Nora Bergstrom started the day for Colgate, placing second and coming in at 10:40.36 in the 1,000-yard free, only two seconds behind first place. Dana Witte followed in third place at 10:54.26.
Jack Lira was the first from the men’s squad to grab second, coming in at 1:45.37 in the 200-yard free. Fellow freshman Matt Freund was right behind Lira with 1:45.78.
Addisyn Donfris was the first Raider to earn first place in an event. Donfris won the 100-yard back with 59.78 seconds. Matthew Szypula claimed second with 53.36 seconds for the men.
Regan Hau got her first top-three finish during the 100-yard breast. Hau placed second with 1:07.60.
Emma Senglaub grabbed the second first-place finish of the event in the 200-yard fly, posting a 2:10.08.
Lira earned second place in the 50-yard free for Colgate, coming in at 22.25.
The 200-yard back event had two Raiders placing in the top three, with Donfris coming in second with 2:11.36 and Elke Ambach in third with 2:13.82.
Both Maggie DeLillo and Ryan Jee placed second in the 200-yard breast for the Raiders. DeLillo came in at 2:34.91 and Jee at 2:11.13.
Bergstrom earned her first-place finish in the event during the 500-yard free. Bergstrom came in at 5:15.58, almost six seconds faster than the nearest swimmer.
Freshmen Audrey Collins and Jee grabbed the last two wins for the Raiders in the 200-yard IM. Collins came in at 2:08.90, and Jee finished at 1:56.03.
The diving squad had themselves a day, as freshman Kate Hoover won the one-meter dive with a final score of 202.65. First-year Ella Olafsson took third place with a final score of 192.45. In the 3-meter dive, Hoover took second with a final score of 193.13, and Olaffson again placed third with 177.38.

Colgate takes the trip to Marist on Friday, Nov. 11, for the first road trip of the season. The Raiders take on the Red Foxes at 5 p.m. inside McCann Natatorium.
