Emma Jury from Louisville, Kentucky has announced her verbal commitment to swim at Xavier University next fall. She will join Anna Baker, Erin Ritz, and Kate Lair in the class of 2024.

Jury is a senior at Louisville’s Sacred Heart Academy. Last February she contributed to Sacred Heart’s 2019 Kentucky High School Athletic Association state title with a 10th-place finish in the 100 fly (57.85) and a 13th in the 500 free (5:12.86). Jury does her year-round club swimming with Lakeside Swim Team. After high school season, she competed at 2019 Kentucky Swimming LSC Senior Short Course Championships and notched new PBs in the 100 free, 200 back, and 200 fly and finaled in the 200 free (10th), 500 free (6th), 200 back (16th), 100 fly (12th), and 200 fly (3rd). This summer she competed at the NCSA Summer Championship in the 100/200 free and 100/200 fly.
Jury’s best times would have scored at the 2019 Big East Championships, where the Musketeers came in 2nd to Villanova in the women’s meet. She would have been an A-finalist in the 200 fly and a B finalist in the 200 free, 200 back, and 100 fly. She would have been just off in the 100/500 free and 200/400 IM (it took 52.69/5:03.91 and 2:09.69/4:37.70 to get a second swim in those events). The Big East Conference only scores two finals.
