A new swim season is rapidly approaching, and with this new beginning many swim clubs search for new leadership to advance their programs. California Capital Aquatics is one of those clubs, recently hiring Justin Brousseau as their new head coach for the program.
California Capital Aquatics is located in Roseville, California, and has had multiple national-level swimmers climb through their ranks- including 1992 Olympic Champion Summer Sanders and 2000 Olympic Trials third place finisher Randall Bal. They had two swimmers from their program qualify for the 2016 Olympic Trials earlier this year.
Brousseau comes to California Capital Aquatics from Katy Aquatics near Houston, Texas. During his time with Katy Aquatics, he was their Director of Competitive Curriculum. He has also spent time at Missouri State, having been a volunteer assistant coach for the Bears for two seasons. Before his stint at Missouri State, Brousseau lead Boise State to three straight conference titles in the Western Athletic and Mountain West Conferences. He has also coached at Drury University, a Division 2 powerhouse, as a volunteer coach. Drury won a national title during Brousseau’s stint. He has coached multiple NCAA All-Americans and led several programs to top 25 rankings.
Brousseau will bring his championship experience to California Capital Aquatics beginning this short course season.
Coach Justin is a fabulous coach and will be missed from Katy.
