Minnesota State adds verbal commitment from Tori Roth

Tori Roth of the Iowa Flyers Swim Club has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Minnesota State Women’s team. Roth made her announcement via twitter.

Roth- a senior at Muscatine High School in Muscatine, Iowa- was a 4-event qualifier at the 2015 IGHSAU State Meet. She placed 20th in the 200-yard individual medley, 24th in the 500-yard freestyle, and swam on Muscatine’s 200 and 400-yard freestyle relays that finished 22nd and 20th, respectively. She should have an immediate impact for Minnesota State, as her best times in the 200/400 individual medleys and 100/200 backstrokes would have placed her in the C final at the New South Intercollegiate Swimming Conference Championships. Her freestyle events could qualify her for finals with minimal improvements.

Roth’s best SCY times are as follows:

  • 50 free- 25.57
  • 100 free- 55.01
  • 200 free- 1:59.13
  • 500 free- 5:22.29
  • 100 back- 1:02.28
  • 200 back- 2:11.58
  • 200 IM- 2:14.62
  • 400 IM- 4:50.99
