Jillian Cox on Come-From-Behind 500 Free Victory: “That felt like a very mature swim for me”

2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships

In a race that saw Olympian Anna Peplowski jump out to a big lead early, Jillian Cox kept her cool and stuck to her race plan, turning on the jets the last 100 yards and winning the 500 Free by over 2 seconds. After the race, Cox felt her maturity showed in this display of sticking to her race plan and relying on the training she’s gotten at Texas.
