Indiana State Hits the Road for Dual vs. Evansville, Little Rock

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Swimming and Diving is set to travel to Evansville, Ind. to compete in a conference double-dual meet with Evansville and Little Rock.

Series History

Indiana State have met Evansville in the regular season four times with the series currently favoring the Sycamores at 3-1. The Sycamores dominated the Purple Aces in 2018-19 by a score of 189.5-72.50.

The blue and white have met Little Rock once in the regular season in 2017-18 and defeated the Trojans by a score of 156-83. The Sycamores currently lead the series 1-0.

Coach Christensen’s Corner

“This meet will be a good matchup with two other MVC schools,” head coach Josh Christensen said. “Both Little Rock and Evansville have some strong freshman they’ve brought in to bolster their team, as is the case across our conference. We’re still in the middle of a pretty tough training phase, so this will be challenging weekend that will require us to step up and race well.”

Sycamore Leaflets

The Sycamores enter Saturday’s contest with a record of 0-3 and are still looking for their first win of the 2019-20 season.
Sophomore Anna Maria Nasiou is coming off a great meet two weeks ago where she broke two of her own record in the 100 and 200 breaststroke claiming victories in both with times of 1:04.37 and 2:19.62.

France-native Sarah Moreau posted a fourth best in school history claiming second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.93.

Diver Britney Meienburg had another school record dive last meet in the 3 meter springboard with a score of 208.5
Events are slated to begin at 11 a.m. EST inside the Carson Center in Evansville, IN.
