Carmel, Indiana’s Emma Nordin has announced her verbal commitment to Arizona State University for 2017-18.

Nordin is a senior at Carmel High School, and the Indiana high school state record-holder in the 500 free (4:45.15), and event she has won in each of the last two years. She is also the defending state champion in the 200 free, having won with 1:47.95 this past year.
Nordin also swims for Carmel Swim Club, where she excels in the entire gamut of freestyle distances. Her sweet spot is in the 200-400-800m free range, and she achieved Olympic Trials standards in each of those events. Her top times are:
