In Briefs: Long Scares World Record at Paralympic Prelims

Day 1 of the 2012 US Paralympic Trials in Bismarck, North Dakota have begun, and through one prelims session, we’ve almost seen a World Record already.

Paralympic superstar Jessica Long swam a 1:31.11 in the women’s SB7 100 breaststroke, which misses her own World Record by just .11 seconds. As her previous record was swum in Canada, this time does stand as a U.S. Open Record in the event – the fastest ever done on American soil.

More to come after finals, but for now, you can check live results here.
