Illinois Set for Season-Opening Orange and Blue Exhibition

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Fighting Illini swimming and diving team will begin its 2019-20 campaign with the annual Orange and Blue Intra-Squad Meet at the ARC Pool on Saturday, September 28, at 9 a.m.  Last year, the Blue team knocked off the Orange team, 118.50-98.50, ending the Orange team’s streak.

  2. 200 Freestyle
  3. 50 Freestyle
  4. 200 Individual Medley
  5. 1 Meter Diving
  6. 100 Butterfly
  7. 100 Freestyle
  8. 100 Backstroke
  9. 500 Freestyle
  10. 3 Meter Diving
  11. 100 Breaststroke
  12. 200 Freestyle Relay

Entry Limits

  • Each athlete may compete in up to three events in any combination (Individual and Relay)
  • Swimmers may not compete in the diving events
  • Divers may compete on relays
  • Maximum of four entries per event

Event Scoring

Individual Events

1st Place – 9 points

2nd Place – 4 points

3rd Place – 3 points

4th Place – 2 points

5th Place – 1 point

A team may score no more than three individuals

Relay Events

1st Place – 11 points

2nd Place – 4 points

3d Place – 2 points

A team may score no more than two relay teams

Lane Assignments

Orange Team – Odd Lanes

Blue Team – Even Lanes
