The 2023 Pro Swim Series – Mission Viejo will kick off tomorrow evening at the Marguerite Aquatic Center. This is the fourth and final stop of the 2023 Pro Swim Series.
USA Swimming has announced a broadcast schedule for May 18-21 via Peacock and CNBC. Peacock will feature live coverage of finals beginning at 5pm (PT) the 18th and 19th, while CNBC will have a taped delay broadcast at 10:30am (PT) the following two days.
As with the recent Westmont stop, all sessions of the meet are currently scheduled to be live streamed on USA Swimming’s YouTube channel.
Prelims will take place Thursday through Saturday at 9am Pacific time, while finals are slated for 5pm Pacific time Wednesday through Saturday.

^Will be swum from fastest to slowest, alternating women and men as a timed final session.
*All athletes who have one or more Pro Swim Series qualifying standards will be eligible to enter up to two bonus 50s of stroke events (Butterfly, Backstroke, and/or Breaststroke). Entry times for the bonus events should be the swimmer’s best 100 time.
**Preliminary heats for events 23 and 24 will be swum after event 34. The fastest 8 seeded athletes in each gender will swim in the finals session.

Certainly one of the highlights for the mid-May to mid-June swimming cycle.
And, unlike some, I am glad to see Roland Schoeman, at age 42, still able to be competitive in the shorter distances. While many will read his name and only think ‘tainted’ swimmer, eventually, he was effectively exonerated, at great personal cost to himself.
All in all, virtually every event is loaded with expert talent.

I think Carson is entered at a local Texas meet. He mentioned something along those lines when Coleman had him on the podcast
Roland was only exonerated in his own mind. He blamed a tainted supplement, but unlike, say, Madisyn Cox, never produced a tainted supplement to prove it, right?
Roland believed in tainted supplements when he was on the block and didn’t when it was his competitors. He contributed to the culture that now plagues him. Makes it hard to have much sympathy.
