Gold Coast To Host 6 Water Polo Teams For Intercontinental Tournament

Australia, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, New Zealand and the U.S. will be battling it out for a FINA Water Polo World League Super Final 2017 berth as of tomorrow and for six days in Gold Coast, Australia.

The European preliminaries are now completed as Serbia, Croatia and Italy secured their spot for a potential medal.

The four best teams of the Intercontinental Tournament will join the three teams mentioned above as well as the host country team (Russia) for the Super Final which will crown the 2017 champions.

The Super Final of the World League will take place in Ruza, Russia from June 20-25

Last year’s overall winners of the Super Final were Serbia, who are also the Olympic and World title holders.
