Gloria Sports Arena is the Top Partner of 3rd FINA World Aquatics Convention

FINA (Federation Internationale de Natation), the world governing body for the sport of Aquatics, has announced Gloria Sports Arena as an Official Top Partner of the 3rd FINA World Aquatics Convention, taking place 29 November-1 December 2014, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Doha (QAT).

The 2014 World Aquatics Convention, which launches in one month’s time, will see Gloria Sports Arena present its newly-built sports complex, as well as provide support to the progression of Aquatics by sharing knowledge on high performance training.

Opening in Belek-Antalya, Turkey, in January 2015, the complex will host training camps for over 50 different sports disciplines. Aquatic facilities include: a 10-lane Olympic heated outdoor pool; a five-lane Olympic indoor pool; a Diving pool; a Water Polo pool; and a rehabilitation and fitness pool. All pools will be equipped with a performance video analysis system.

Maglione, FINA President. “FINA recognises the importance of high quality facilities in achieving elite performance for our athletes and coaches, and believes this partnership will be of great benefit to the entire Aquatics family.”

During the Convention, Gloria Sports Arena will be looking to network with coaches and team managers to discuss the latest innovations in training analysis.

“Our mission is to give full support for the sustainable growth of sport,” said Elif Özdemir, Gloria Sports Arena Project Leader. “As the official international Aquatics business event, we believe that the FINA World Aquatics Convention is not only a great platform to discuss future changes and innovations with Aquatics leaders, but an excellent way to present our new complex and our mission to the public.”

The announcement sees Gloria Sports Arena join Counsilman – Hunsaker and Malmsten AB as Top Partners of the 2014 World Aquatics Convention, FINA’s official business platform for the global Aquatics family and business leaders to network, share best practice and encourage engagement in Aquatic sports.
