In so much as the Ivy League commitment system is a bit different from the rest of the country, pending full acceptance, Geordie Enoch of the Eagle Swim Team in Maryland has verbally committed to the Harvard Crimson.
Enoch is hard to nail down in terms of a primary stroke, as she’s swum at a very high level in a lot of different yards events. One thing is certain: she’s going to have a big impact on the Harvard IM group.
Her best times:
- 1oo back – 56.04
- 200 back – 2:01.25
- 100 breast – 1:03.83
- 200 breast – 2:15.78
- 200 IM – 2:01.58
- 400 IM – 4:16.81
With Katie Meili of Columbia graduated, the IM races are wide-open in the Ivy League, and Enoch should finish in the A-Final in both IM races at the conference level as a freshman – her 400 would have been 6th at the 2013 Ivy League Championships.
She might be even firmer in that position by the time she arrives on campus; as a junior, she whacked two seconds off of her best time in the 200 IM and four seconds off of her best in the 400 IM.
Congratulations Geordie!!! Go Crimson! Everyone else is going to eat your bubbles!!!
