Fullalove and Tully Take Scottish Grand Prix Titles

The 2014-15 Scottish Grand Prix wrapped up this weekend at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh. At the conclusion of all three stages of the series Jessica Fullalove and Mark Tully took the titles in the sprint section of the event and the overall titles as well.

The Scottish Grand Prix consisted of three separate competitions; the North, West and East District. The North District was held in Aberdeen from May 30th-June 1st, 2014, the West District was held in Glasgow from January 16th-18th and the East District was held this past weekend.

Fullalove ended the series in Edinburgh with wins in the 50 (29.17), 100 (1:01.28) and 200 backstroke (2:12.20). Tully took the 50 breaststroke in a time of 28.16 and finished third in the 100 breaststroke posting a 1:02.71.

 

Fullalove earned 16 points at the North District and 24 points at both the West and East Districts while Tully earned 24 points at all three competitions.

Camilla Hattersley who had a strong competition in Edinburgh winning the 400 freestyle (4:17.43) and the 400 IM (4:49.05) by over six seconds took the distance title. Rebecca Murray earned the mid-distance title.

Chris Lowther who posted a 4:08.20 for the win in the 400 freestyle in Edinburgh took the distance title on the men’s side while Angus Barr won the mid-distance award.
