Three days after his shoulder surgery Fred Bousquet is back in the water. He posted the above photo on his official Facebook page, saying “1er jour de rééducation, on perd pas de temps” or, “first day of therapy, we’re not wasting any time.”
The French sprinter was operated on at Hôpital Jean Mermoz in Lyon, France on Tuesday, February 25. He reported on his official Facebook page that he was happy to get home to Marseille the next afternoon and see his daughter, and he thanked his doctors and the staff at Jean Mermoz for having taken good care of him.
Bousquet and his advisors opted to do the surgery now to give him two full years to prepare for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
