FINIS, Inc., a worldwide leader in technical swimming innovation, is proud to partner with The LEAD Sports Summit, the first ever leadership and empowerment summit for teenage girl swimmers. LEAD, which stands for Leadership, Empowerment, and Athletic Development, gives attendees the opportunity to learn leadership and communication skills from one of the most accomplished groups of female mentors ever assembled: Olympians Kara Lynn Joyce, Elizabeth Beisel, and Missy Franklin, confidence coach Christen Shefchunas, and nutritionist Jennifer Brunelli.

The LEAD Sports Summit was founded in 2017 by 3-time Olympian Kara Lynn Joyce. Since retiring from competitive swimming in 2012, Kara has pursued a career in coaching, speaking, and mentorship. A common theme and passion through Kara’s athletic career and professional journey has been the mentorship and empowerment of young women. The mission of LEAD is to change the lives of young female athletes by teaching, empowering, and cultivating an environment for leadership.

The LEAD Sports Summit will take place in Austin, Texas from September 2-4, 2017. Registration for LEAD is open to all female swimmers, ages 13-18.
