FINA Intercontinental Tournament: USA Women Announces Roster

Eight of the best teams in international women’s water polo have arrived in Riverside, California for the 2014 FINA Intercontinental Tournament. The event starts Tuesday at the Riverside Aquatics Complex at 3pm pst with Brazil and Venezuela meeting. The USA Women’s Senior National Team begins competition with a 7:15pm match against Japan. Prior to the start of the tournament, teams will compete in exhibition matches later today (Monday). Team USA will host Australia in an exhibition match at 6pm pst. The match will feature special rules including five on five play in the field. Admission to the match is free and a free webcast will also be offered courtesy of CoachesAid.com. Team USA Head Coach Adam Krikorian has announced his roster for the tournament. The 13 athletes that will compete in Riverside are lead by veterans and two-time Olympians Betsey Armstrong (Ann Arbor, MI/Michigan/NYAC) and Kami Craig (Santa Barbara, CA/USC/SBWPF).
