Andrew Schou of the Flying Fish Arizona Swim Team has committed to Davidson College in North Carolina for this coming season. He’s wrapping up his senior year at Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson.

Schou, a breaststroker, came out of quarantine lockdown hot. Holding a 100 breast PR of 58.59 pre-pandemic, he dropped over two seconds in his first meet back, blasting a 56.44 at an intrasquad in August 2020.
Meanwhile, Schou clocked his lifetime best in the 200 breast later on, swimming at the Phoenix Sectionals in March 2021. In the time between those meets, Schou won the 2020 Arizona HS Division I state title in the 100 breast.
During the 2019-20 collegiate season (the current season is still running, with the A-10 Champs happening this week), Schou would’ve been Davidson’s fastest 100 breaststroker. He would’ve also ranked third on the roster in the 200 breast. At the 2020 A-10 Champs, Schou would’ve scored in the 100 breast B-final.
