Kendra Preski of Springfield, Illinois has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Colorado State University beginning in the fall of 2020. Kendra trains year round with the Springfield YMCA Swim Team.
I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Colorado State University! On my visit the coaches and team felt like family and CSU has the perfect combination of academics and athletics for me. I want to thank my family, friends, and all of my coaches who have supported me in my swimming journey. I can’t wait for the next four years as a Ram!!!
Last spring at YMCA Short Course National Championships she swam in the C final of both the 200 yard fly (2:03.33) and 200 yard free (1:51.75). She also took 11th in the 1000 yard free, going 10:06.45 in the timed final event. This summer she took 6th in the 200 meter fly at USA Swimming Futures (Des Moines) with a time of 2:19.26.

She will provide immediate scoring potential at the Mountain West Conference Championships after arriving on campus next fall. In 2019 her best time would have placed in the top 16 in the 1650 freestyle at the meet. Her best times would have also placed her in the scoring C Final of the 200 free, 500 free, and 200 fly.
Preski will be joined by Mckenna O’Reilly, Rachel Saxon, Megan Hager, Anika Johnson and Emma Breslin as members of the Class of 2024.
