Arizona’s Michael Meyer won the 400 IM one night after winning the 200 IM, and he also put up the third fastest time in the NCAA in the process. Meyer went 3:41.73 to blow away the field, leading by nearly 3 seconds before the race was even half over.

Kevin Cordes broke the American and U.S. Open Records in the 100 yard breaststroke on Friday night at the 2013, swimming a 50.70 to better the 50.74 he went at the 2013 NCAA Championships. His time was the fastest 100 yard breaststroke in history.

In prelims of the men’s 100 fly, that famous Arizona mid-season taper reared its head, and senior Giles Smith took the top seed in the men’s 100 fly in 44.75. That time would’ve placed him behind only the now-graduated Tom Shields at NCAA’s last season, in a race where Smith was 6th.

Miami Invite – Day Two, Rosenburg Resets DIII Record. Again.
After a quick preliminary 100 breaststroke in which he broke the Division III National record, Denison’s Damon Rosenburg came back in finals to better his new NCAA record even further. The prelims swim broke a 14 year old Denison school record which had belonged to Aaron Cole. After his drop in finals, Rosenburg also owns the fastest time ever recorded in the 100 breaststroke in 20 years of swimming at the Miami Invitational.

Two Princeton records fell on Day One of the Big Al Open. Teo D’Alessandro (pictured) broke the 200 IM, while Michael Strand’s leadoff in the 400 medley relay was the school’s fastest ever 100 back.
