Corban McIntosh from Novato, California has announced his verbal commitment to the University of California, Santa Barbara for 2020-21. The two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American will suit up with Justin Hussong in the class of 2024.

I am extremely confident in my choice to join the class of 2024 at the University of California, Santa Barbara. McIntosh is a senior at Saint Vincent De Paul High School. He was the 4th-place finisher in the 100 breast with a PB of 56.83 at the 2019 CIF North Coast Section Championships before going on to the California State Meet. There, he came in 25th in prelims. McIntosh does his year-round swimming with Marin Pirates. He competed at 2018 Winter Juniors West in the 100/200 breast and scored a PB in the latter. He also notched a best time in the 200 IM in time trials. This summer he swam the 100/200 breast at Speedo Junior Nationals but most of his best LCM times came out of the Santa Clarita Sectionals meet. He took 5th in the 100 breast (1:04.98) and 9th in the 200 breast (2:22.87), and he also lowered his lifetime bests in the 200 free (2:06.41) and 400 IM (4:54.83).

McIntosh would have scored for the Gauchos at 2019 MPSF Championships in the C finals of the 100 breast, 200 breast, and 400 IM. He’ll overlap two years with UCSB breaststrokers Alec Cullen and Anthony Moore
