Coming out of high school, Lainey Visscher was a Four-time High School All-American and 2015 Oregon State Champion in the 100 back.

2017-2018
As a sophomore, Visscher scored 61 points at the ACC Championships, with 5th place finishes in the 50 free (22.20) and 100 free (48.22) and a 16th place effort in the 100 back (53.32).
Visscher was part of the 4th place and school record breaking 400 free relay as well as the 5th place 200 free and 200 medley relays at the NCAA Championships. Individually, she finished 11th in the 50 free (22.14) at NCAAs, while also swimming the 100 free (48.49) and 100 back (53.57).
2018-2019
At the 2019 ACC Championships, Visscher finished 6th in the 50 free (22.23) and 5th in the 100 free (48.54). She was also on ACC Champion 400 free relay and the 2nd place 200 free relay
At the NCAA Championships, Visscher was part of the 4th place 200 freestyle relay and 5th place 200 medley and 400 free relays. Individually, she finished 21st in the 50 free (22.22).
