MEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Zalan Sarkany, So., ASU (Budapest, Hungary)
- In his first meet of the season the sophomore broke two school and one personal record, swimming a time that topped the 2023 NCAA Champion.
- In his 1650 Free swim, Sarkany broke his own program record with a time of 14:28.09. En Route to it, he broke yet another personal program record in the 1000 free (8:46.42).
- In the 500 Free, a personal best time of 4:15.02 earned him his second win of the weekend and a sweep of the distance events against Grand Canyon.
- The sophomore also competed with the Sun Devil’s 400 Free Relay team, swimming a 21.58 split and taking home third.
- First career Pac-12 Men’s Diver of the Week award.
MEN’S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Elias Petersen, So., UTAH (Malmo, Sweden)
- Against Colorado Mesa, Peterson posted two first place finishes for the fourth time this season assisting the Utes in their 201-97 victory over the Mavericks.
- In the 1 Meter, the sophomore scored a 328.65, going on to score a 396.68 in the 3 Meter that bested the competition by over 80 points.
- Fifth career Pac-12 Men’s Diver of the Month/Week and third this season (Jan. 11, 2023; Feb. 14, 2023; October, 2023; November, 2023)
