The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Albion’s Derek Bosko its Athlete of the Week in men’s swimming and diving.
Bosko, a freshman from Holland (Holland HS), swam the second-fastest time in the MIAA this season in the 100-yard freestyle over the weekend at the Michigan Open with a time of :47.02, and also swam a :21.83 in the 50 freestyle. He also swam a :20.91 split in the freestyle leg of Albion’s 200-yard medley relay and a :46.65 split in the 400 freestyle relay. Bosko is being honored as Athlete of the Week for the first time this season.
