Air Force Qualifies 3 for Winter Nats

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. — Three members of the Air Force women’s swimming team have qualified for the USA Winter Nationals, Dec. 2-5, in Seattle, Wash.

Senior Sara Menke, junior Genevieve Miller and sophomore Maria Schroeder will be looking to post qualifying times for the 2016 Olympic Games. Menke and Miller will swim the 400 meter and 800 meter freestyle while Schroeder will swim the 100 meter butterfly.

Miller ranks first in the Mountain West in the 500 yard, 1000 yard and 1650 yard freestyle. Menke ranks seventh in the league in the 500, ninth in the 1000 and fourth in the 1650 free. Schroeder ranks fourth in the Mountain West in the 100 yard butterfly.

In the USASwimming.com national rankings, Miller ranks 14th in the 500 free and eighth in the 1650 free.
