- USA Swimming has confirmed the cancellation of the 2022 Pro Swim in Knoxville, saying it has opted to “prioritize the health and safety of the athletes, staff and event volunteers,” amidst the current COVID-19 climate in the United States.
- Emre Sakci broke the SCM 50 breaststroke World Record with a time of 24.95. He is the first person to swim under 25 seconds in the event. He did this at a meet in Turkey with no underwater cameras after being DQed in the 50 and 100 breaststroke days earlier at the 2021 Short Course World Championships

Also this is not the first time Peaty’s mentioned “Project Immortal.” Hopefully we can make fun of him enough that he’ll not make a third.
Chupkov said he’s unsure whether he will stay active until Paris, when asked by Russian media. It’s possible that he postponed his retirement just because some commercial contracts haven’t expired. There are apparently still many ads going on in his instagram account.
Peaty gonna go a 53 and make it look easy.
Just needs to add some fly kicks to his repertoire.
