Michelle Coleman was not selected now because she’s got a shoulder injury and missed the selection meet. If she comes back around the Swedish nationals in early July or earlier she will most likely be on the team on a wildcard. Her status kinda decides if there’s any point in going for the freestyle relays.

With Hansson looking better and better and Hanna Eriksson being 2.00 and possibly 1.58-1.59 in the summer the 4×200 team could be good. For the Euros level anyway. Sjostrom 1.54, Coleman 1.56, Hansson 1.58, Eriksson 1.59 or so should be very competitive and probably favorites to win. Russia maybe? There are barely any times <1.58 in this season, and no team has four swimmers… Read more »

What a petty that Federica Pellegrini’s done with 200 free.
LEN 2014. W4x200. Sarah Sjostrom’s fastest ever race in 200 free that makes her 4.5(!)sec ahead of the field. What a drama! One of my favorite relay races.

I think GB has four under 2.00 (1.56.7/1.58.1/1.58.5/1.59.0) – Plus O’Connor who was 1.57.0 on 3rd leg at Commonwealths. She is always good for a 1.57low leg. I’d expect four solid 1.57 legs from GB in Glasgow.
