Miles Cochrane, a Scholastic All-American from Green Mountain Aquatics in Colchester, Vermont, has announced his verbal commitment to swim for Penn State beginning in the fall of 2020. Primarily a breaststroker, Cochrane has seen massive improvements in both breaststroke distances, dropping 7.75 seconds in the 200 and 1.5 seconds in the 100 just in the last year.

At the New England Senior Championships over the summer, Cochrane took 6th place in the 200 LCM breast (2:29.40) and 7th place in the 100 LCM breast (1:09.27). At the NE KING 15-18 AG Championship in March, Cochrane won the 100-yard breaststroke (57.98) and took second place in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:06.93)

Cochrane will be joining fellow breaststroker Ben Doyle as well as Zach Brewer, Jacob Oberle, Jacob Houck, Branko Kosanovich, and John Guilinger as members of the class of 2024 for the Nittany Lions.
