Laila Webb from Laurel, Maryland has committed to swim at Old Dominion University beginning in the fall of 2021. She is currently a senior at St. Vincent Pallotti High School and swims club with Machine Aquatics.

Webb specializes in sprint freestyle. At the 56th Annual Washington Metropolitan Interscholastic Swimming & Diving Championships in February 2020, she placed 5th in the 50 free and dropped her personal best to 23.99. She also finished 11th in the 100 free (52.60). Her best time in that event, along with the 200 free and 100 back, came the following month at the 2020 Potomac Valley Short Course Senior Championships. There, she finished 7th in the 100 free with 52.19.
Webb will be an immediate impact player for the Monarchs. She would have been their fastest 50 freestyler last year and the second-fastest 100 freestyler behind Tara Enneking. She will overlap two years with Enneking (24.07/52.16/1:54.82), Miranda Byrne (24.40/52.88/1:52.57), and Peri Farling (24.45/54.12).
