USC’s Louis Hansson is the top seed heading into finals in the 100 fly tonight by .86 after blasting the #7 all-time performance in prelims.
Hansson split 23.20/26.70 for a final time of 49.90, making her the third woman ever to break :50 in a SCY 100 fly. She’ll race one of the others, Tennessee’s Erika Brown, in finals tonight. Both will eye Kelsi Worrell‘s American, U.S. Open, and NCAA record of 49.43 (Brown could set an American record, but Hansson is from Sweden).
Hansson’s previous best stood at 50.17 from the 2018 Pac-12 Championships. Friday’s swim moves her from #6 to #3 on the all-time top performers list.
