Arvada, Colorado-native Michael Zarian has made a verbal commitment to the application process at Harvard University*. Zarian is the #17 recruit on our list of high school boys from the class of 2017.

Zarian is a senior at Fairview High School in Boulder, where he is a three-time CHSAA state champion. He won the 200 IM (1:49.72) and 500 free (4:34.45) as a junior and the 500 free as a sophomore. Zarian also swims for Jeffco Hurricanes. At 2015 Speedo Winter Juniors West he was runner-up in the 400y IM, 8th in the 200y IM and 200y fly, 9th in the 200y back, and 14th in the 500y free. Zarian’s big meet in long course season was the North Texas American Long Course Championships. He won the 200m IM and finaled in the 200/400m free, 100m back, and 400m IM.

- 400 IM – 3:49.54
- 200 free – 1:41.63
- 500 free – 4:27.14
- 100 back – 51.24
- 200 back – 1:46.67
- 200 breast – 2:03.81
- 200 fly – 1:47.72
Zarian would have scored points for Harvard at the 2016 Ivy League Men’s Championships in the 200 IM (B final), 400 IM (A final), 200 back (B final), and 200 fly (B final).
