Stefan Lurz, older brother and coach of open water star Thomas Lurz, won double honors from the DSV, the German Swimming Federation this year.
Lurz was named both National Coach of the Year and Junior Coach of the Year, the first time a German coach has swept both awards in the same year.
Lurz coaches for SV Wurzburg, and has now won National Coach of the Year three straight seasons.
