The Brisbane 2032 Olympics Venues announcement will take place in 45 minutes.
After years of um-ing and ar-ing it’s time to get on with it.
Oh I’m sure there’ll be more drama to follow.
Unfortunately I’m sure you are right.
New aquatic centre at Centenary pool, 25000 seats. Sounds good I reckon .
Will be downsized to 8800 seats after the games.
Thankfully they’re not going with that original plan for a drop-in pool. Australian swimming deserves a legacy.
I hear the competition pool will be so fast the Americans will cry about it being short 🤏
😀😃😁😁😆😅😂🤣
Wouldn’t surprise me if Gretchen breaks the 50 or 100 fly records again. Nothing to suggest she’s in the conversation at all for the freestyles though.
Would love Kaylee to sweep but I’ll believe it when I see it. Her times this weekend were way beyond what I was expecting though, so hopefully she can keep it up!
I would be surprised by the 50, but definitely not the 100. I think she goes 54 this year.
I doubt A. Canny, K. Grimes, E. Weber were pleased with their individual performances especially compared to personal best times.
Just looking at the entries for Aussie Age Champs and I see American Reef McMeeking is entered and doesn’t have a (V) to mark him as a visitor. Is he a dual citizen? They’re usually pretty reliable at marking visitors at this national level meets.
On further investigation 🕵️ it looks like he competed at Australian Surf Life Saving Youth Championships last year.

i believe if you look at kaylees splits in any of one her races in a given meet, you can usually mathematically extrapolate her times in her other races (iow how she splits a 200 today will be pretty predictive of what shell throw down in a 100 tomorrow).
the problem w kaylee mckeown is that if you woke her up in the middle of the night, shed roll out of bed and throw down a world leading time in any bk event. sarah sjostrom has been doing it in the 50 fr & fl. gretchen walsh has been doing it in scy.
once youve achieved that level of physical mastery and mental consistency in a given event,… Read more »
100%. like you said – when you have mastered the physical and mental aspect of the sport, it’s hard too lose.
A minus 40 versus the psych sheet seedings on Day 4 is the definition of choke.

Winter Conference Championships would conflict with the Short Course World Championships which rolls around every two years.
The University of Virginia won’t win next season unless the women’s swimming program picks up at least two (if not three) female athletes via the transfer portal.
For example, if available:
C. Vincent, Alabama – 50/100 FR
J. Crye, Cincinnati – 50/100 BR
The women’s 4 x 50/100 yard relays definitely have major holes that need to be plugged (50/100 BR, 50/100 FR).
