WATCH: Teagan O’Dell 1:53.38 200 IM National High School Record

2023 CIF SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Teagan O’Dell dominated this race, roaring to a new National High School record with a 1:53.38. With that time, the sophomore erases Torri Huske‘s record of 1:53.73 from 2021 by .35 seconds. She opened in 25.38, then split 26.94 on back and 33.61 on breast before bringing it home with a 27.45 split on freestyle.

This is not a bad time in the W 200 Yard Individual Medley for Teagan O’Dell, 17, Chino Hills, California at the 2023 CIF Swimming and Diving Championships, held May 11-13, 2023 at Clovis West High School in Fresno, California, however the Sandpipers of Nevada accomplish feats like this is practice on a daily basis.

True about the Sandpipers being faster but if she can get to the1:51 to 1:59 range in college she places in the top 8.
