HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – The USA Men’s and Women’s National Teams return to action this December for exhibition competition in Southern California. The USA Women’s National Team, the number one ranked team in the world, will welcome China and the Netherlands for a series of matches December 14-December 22. The USA Men’s National Team will close out 2018 in front of their home fans with a series against Italy December 28-31. The USA Women’s matches against China are free admission, tickets for matches against the Netherlands are available by clicking here. Tickets for the USA Men’s matches against Italy are also on sale now and available by clicking here.
Live streaming of all Team USA matches will be available at Facebook.com/USAWP and YouTube.com/USAWP with live stats at TheFOSH.net. Team rosters will be announced in the coming weeks.
“We couldn’t be more exited to play host to China and the recent European Championship team from the Netherlands during this five game series,” said USA Women’s National Team Head Coach Adam Krikorian. “I am anxious to get the entire team together again and be able to show to our supporters and fans what makes this group so special. They are an incredibly hard working, competitive, and selfless team that plays the game with endless energy and joy. To see it in action, against two of the best teams in the world, is a rare opportunity and will certainly be a treat for those in attendance. We hope to see much of the water polo community there.”
USA Men’s National Team Head Coach Dejan Udovicic echoed those sentiments. “Our series with Italy will be a great way to end the year and we look forward to playing in front of our cheering fans,” added Udovicic. “These games and practices are an important part of our preparation for 2019 and we appreciate the support anytime we can play at home.”
