Top Canadians Sign National Letters of Intent [PICTURES]

The Americans were not the only swimmers who signed their National Letters of Intent yesterday, the first day they were allowed to. The very-much heralded women’s class from north of the border also put pen-to-paper yesterday to solidify their college commitments. Oakville Goes 5-For-5 With Signings

All 5 graduating girls from the Oakville Aquatic Club, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada signed the NLI on November 9th. It is very rare to see even one, yet alone 5 Canadians from one club make the move to the NCAA. They training under Head Coach Sean Baker, who has produced multiple international medal winners. All five have been apart of many different NAG record setting Medley Relay Teams. Marni Oldershaw and Annie Harrison competed at the Jr. World Championships in Peru. Both have multiple individual National Age Group records (Marni- 200IM SC, 400IM SC&LC, Annie- 200Bk SC&LC). Also, Marni Oldershaw and Sharalynn Missiuna were named to the Canadian 2011 LC “ID” Team which selects the top swimmer in each event, and top relay event swimmers. All are extremely excited to compete in the NCAA for their respective schools.
