Swimming Australia has released online ticket sales for tickets to the 2014 Pan Pac Championships in the Gold Coast through Ticket Master on Monday.
The meet runs from Thursday, August 21st through Sunday, August 24th at the newly renovated and expanded Gold Coast Aquatic Centre.
Full-price adult tickets for finals sessions start at $30 AU, and run as high as $75 AU. In the currencies of the other three founding nations of the Pan Pac Championships, as of most current exchange rates, that’s:
- USD – $27.71-$69.28
- JPY – ¥2824.33–¥7060.83
- CAD – $30.10-$75.25
The center that is to host the 2014 Pan Pacs Championships had a $40 million renovation scheduled to prepare it for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, but when the same center was announced as the winner of the bids for 2014 Pan Pacs, that schedule was moved up in a big way.
The open-air aquatic center once complete will have two 10-lane, 50-meter competition pools, a 25-meter diving well, and an 8-lane, 25-meter training pool. All of these pools are open-air, and the new competition pool will feature permanent seating for 1,000. For the Commonwealth Games, that will be expanded to 10,000 for swimming and 2,500 for diving.
The new facility will reopen to the public in September, after the Pan Pac Championships.
