Nashville Aquatic Club’s Adrienne Raber has verbally committed to Southern Illinois for fall 2022. She’s a junior at Nashville Christian School.
Well… I’m a Saluki! I am super stoked to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Southern Illinois University! I would never have got here without my current teammates and coaches, so thank you all. I also couldn’t have done this without the support of my amazing family and friends. Raber is a sprint freestyler and butterflier, and in 2020, she raced to B-final showings at the Tennessee HS (TISCA) State Championships in the 100 free and 100 fly. All of her lifetime bests are from December 2020 or sooner, so she’s on a recent progression curve.
Last season, Raber would’ve been SIU’s #2 100 freestyler and #4 200 freestyler. At the 2020 MVC Championships, she would’ve made the 100 free A-final, 200 free B-final and 50 free C-final with her current bests.
Raber is the first commit for Southern Illinois’s class of 2026.
